Cadaveric studies have shown that more than one renal artery is present in 15% of cases on the right side and 20% of cases on the left. The urinary system, also known as the renal system or urinary tract, consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra. The renal vein transports blood from kidney to the inferior vena cava, and the ureter conducts urine from the tubular system of the kidney to the urinary bladder.
